What’s new with TrustedSite Security | July 2021 Release Notes
Check out the new features that came to TrustedSite Security last month.
View and start monitoring discovered targets more easily with the new Add Targets page.
The Discovery service can help you find assets connected to your business that you weren’t aware of or may have forgotten, whether it be a long-lost website from an old marketing campaign or an application brought in through an acquisition.
With the new Add Targets page, you have a dedicated place to review the assets that are found by the Discovery service. Here you’ll see a list of the discovered assets along with information about how they were found. You can choose to add a discovered asset to your account as a target that you will monitor, or you can hide it if it doesn't belong to your organization.
Connect AWS to get a better inventory of assets
Save time as you’re compiling your inventory in the TrustedSite Security platform by connecting your AWS account. This will allow you to easily begin monitoring the assets you manage in AWS.
To set this up, go to the Connectors page in your account settings, then click the plus icon in the upper right to add a new connector.
Assign vulnerabilities to specific users for better workflow management
In June, we added the ability to assign a status to vulnerabilities so you can quickly see which haven’t been looked at yet and which have remediation efforts in progress. This past month, we took that a step further and added the ability to assign vulnerabilities to specific users. This way, you can ensure that the right people on your team are taking care of the issues they’re responsible for.
To assign a vulnerability to a user, go to your Vulnerability List page and click the Edit (pencil) icon. Click the check box next to the vulnerabilities that you’d like to assign to a user, and then click Edit Status. You can then select the email address of the user that you’d like to assign the vulnerability to.
Additional improvements
Here are a few more updates we made in July:
- You can now use regular expressions (regex) to search your javascript
- We improved the risk score calculator to make it easier to estimate and understand your risk scores
- Filter your target previews to see all redirects
