A Letter from TrustedSite's CEO: 2018 Year in Review
2018 has been a remarkable year online for consumers and businesses alike. The stream of high profile company data breaches, stolen credit cards and identities, and user data abuse in elections has continued to erode consumers' confidence and increase their security concerns online.
Our 2018 consumer survey showed over 88% of online shoppers have security and trust concerns when buying online—a challenge that’s impacting the safest and largest brands as well as lesser-known brands.
It’s been our mission to help businesses and consumers meet the increasing challenge of establishing a trusting relationship. To help tackle this challenge, we've responded by increasing our account management and support teams.
Additionally, we've rolled out new branding for the McAfee SECURE service, and improved our trustmark display and onsite verification with mobile users in mind. We've also introduced a beta version of the Trust Survey, which currently shows that over 80% of visitors trust a site more because they are certified secure.
